The Black Horse Inn, Byworth

After spending the day touring the coastline, my husband, my dog and I were on the lookout for a traditional country pub to enjoy some delicious food. After stopping at a few spots on route from Worthing towards Petworth, the sign for The Black Horse Inn caught our eye, we are so pleased that it did!! The building is absolutely spectacular, with so many original features, uneven floors, bare wood and nooks and crannies. The sort of place that you'd get to dinner early on a warm winters night to get the best spot by the roaring fire. The garden is beautiful and enormous! Which meant kids on other tables could go and play and run around without causing bother to fellow diners.
The food was absolutely delicious, especially my stilton and garlic mushrooms, I'll be returning many times before that menu changes!
I could go on, all in all a fabulous experience, probably the best pub I've found in the South for all round great service, atmosphere and food! I'm hoping to celebrate my birthday there in the great function room late this year!
