Dear pubtrawler,

We sincerely apologize that you found us closed on Tuesday lunchtime. Unfortunately, certain circumstances had arisen which meant that we were unable to open as per normal. We did re-open that night and are open throughout the rest of this week - serving great food and real ales.

I personally would like to add that this will not be turning into a regular thing.

Good afternoon to everyone,

We have indeed recently re-opened The Crown Inn within the past month. My team and I all hail from the Home Sweet Home, based in Roke. We have come in with the same attitude of encouraging a warm, relaxing and comfortable place to spend your evenings whether you would like to join us for a meal or just have a few drinks with friends.

We are serving good quality, traditional food and lunch time and in the evening. On sundays, we have our beef, pork and lamb roasts along with other options, including vegetarian options and a child menu.

We are also serving good quality Wadworth cask ales and have a good selection of wines - which is slowly increasing in size.

Finally @tester - thank you you for the positive comments. They are much appreciated. We are also intending to be here for the long haul.
