The Tide End Cottage, Teddington

On one of mine and my husbands walks we decided to try the Tide End as we were very disappointed with The Anglers last time. We were greeted warmly by a girl behind the bar, although she hadn't been working there long she knew what to do. The choice of Ales is good. We both ate well, the beef and ale pie was great, and i was very pleased with the curry. Our plates were taken as soon as we finished which was nice. Over all we were very pleased with our visit, the pub has a really great atmosphere and we'll be visiting again very soon.

The Anglers, Teddington

My husband and i recently took a long walk from Kingston to Teddington and decided to call in at The Anglers. The pub wasn't that busy and we managed to find a table inside. It took a while to get served at the bar because the young barmaids were all talking and not aware of just how many customers were waiting to be served. When the sun came out we went and sat outside. The BBQ was open and we decided to eat from there. There was limited menu and most things we wanted they'd ran out of including bacon!!! i decided to go for the chicken ceaser salad which was lovely apart from the fact the salad was wilting. My husband went for the cheese and bacon buger- without the bacon- it was tough and burnt. The burger bun tasted old and the chips were not cooked in the middle. Overall i was rather dissatisfied with the visit. You could see the grill chef touching all the raw meats then the cooked and the waiting staff were so slow. Not going back there for a while.
