Very quiet even on a Good Friday evening. Limited range of beer in the restaurant area, but all well kept. Good wholesome food quickly served, and staff who were not fazed by a large party including nut and wheat allergic people.

The Piercefield, St Arvans

Excellent setting and decor, and good value food. Unfotunately let down by poorly kept beer (Brains) and watresses and a kitchen who appeared not to communicate (a vegetarian moussaka comprising meat, roast pork served instead of lamb, and poor excuses for delays in service (not enough bar staff and an influx of cyclists). I suggest go on a quiet weekday.
