Badger Inn, Lelant

The food served here is not good, there is no other way to say it. I ordered from the menu and not the carvery, thinking that the menu would be better. Its more expensive but there was a lot to choose from - Big mistake! They either have a chef who has lost his passion since the last review or their diners smoke 40 a day because the food was tasteless. Maybe there is too much to choose from on the menu and the chef can't cope, I dunno but the food is pricey and you are not in a restaurant. Everything was hugely overcooked, the fish was like leather, the pasta was soggy and the starter of brocolli and stilton soup I swear came straight from a packet. We finished eating 3 minutes after they served the food and the plates were full, they cleared the table without asking if there was a problem and we paid nearly thirty quid for it.

If you want to eat good food go into St Ives and if you can get a table go to Porthminster cafe, these people know how to cook great food!!
