The George, London Bridge

A fantastic weekday lunch in the sunshine; the pub's own beer isn't bad and it came with the best scampi I've ever eaten. A great find.

Fitzroy Tavern, Fitzrovia

It's a Sam Smiths pub, so you know what you're getting to drink. Reasonable beers at prices that knock everything else in the area into a cocked hat. Always busy, though, so difficult to get a table. BUT the staff are fantastic - actually capable of dealing with several customers at once and keep things moving.

The Driver, Kings Cross

Agree with previous comment - almost!
A great pub with spectacular food (a long menu which changes rapidly and has included kangaroo and osterich recently), particularly the burgers.

Ales have been Pride and Landlord for a long time now, but both are fine. The only frustrating thing is the long wine list; although it looks great I haven't yet managed to get what I've first asked for and the staff (with a few exceptions) know nothing about wine.
