The Abingdon Arms, Beckley

Took my family there for Sunday lunch calling just half an hour ahead on a Bank holiday weekend. They were busy but managed to squeeze us in. Warm welcome, lovely ambience, tasty Brakspear's Bitter. Food was the highlight though - pork medallions were melt-in-the-mouth delicious, and the roast beef and Yorkshire pud were just right. Menu a little more pricey than standard pub fayre (~�12 for a main) but this is restaurant quality food in good sized portions and so excellent value.
