Wife and I are taking a trip to the UK in June this year. We will be staying 4 days at Bristol before traveling to Truro to visit my cousin. In my plans are visits to many U.k. pubs, not so much as to get drunk, but because there are so many and pubs seem to be where the people come to visit and talk, which is so different form the states, where people go just to get drunk. I look forward to meet all of you and having a good time.

stopped in here on our trip and had a couple pints, very nice pub and at 2.20 it was well worth the trip. the bartender was a pleasant young man.

this was probably the nicest looking pub i have ever been in. Had a couple pints of doombar which were excellent and the owner was very friendly. Next trip back to the U.K. I will come here again and bring my camera.

The Kings Head, Bristol
beautiful pub, although expensive. I liked going here until the lady I think her name was Jackie took an extra 10 from me. i gave here a twenty pound note and got change for a ten. I told her I gave her a twenty, but she would not give in. I think it was because i was from another country, and sad to say I know bars in this country do the same thing, its just sad to see someone take from other people. Next trip to the U.K. I will not stop here, it was my only bad experience on the whole trip.
