The Duke, Richmond

changing management apparently, shame cos the previous dude was really good (matt?) Hope the new management keeps the place as welcoming for the weekends. It is probably the most expensive pub in richmond, but it's so damn nice it's worth it, worth paying for the food as well, mmm. Sunday nights are always ace - good bands (generally, although the muttz nuttz are really dull), and friendly regulars. Gotta love the page.

The Prince's Head, Richmond

nice pub, food is over priced but good. For everyone who keeps commenting about the plastic glasses for the green, that isn't anything to do with the pub itself (this goes for all the richmond pubs with take-away licences), it's mainly health and safety from the council so kids and dogs and things don't cut themselves on the broken glasses. Congrat's to snowdog for getting a glass one, you didn't tell them you were going outside then!

Nice pub, it's just a shame the green has so many chavs hanging about all night trying to make trouble.
