I live in Australia and the only reason I became aware of the Berrylands is because it was my father-in-law's favourite pub. My wife and I visited the pub in June 2004 and I posted a comment in your internet spot for this pub on 21 Oct 2004 (Sam Gouras )
We hope to be there in May 2007 when we visit the UK again.
Sadly my father -in-law has passed away since so our visit will have special meaning for my wife.
I am an industrial chemist and I will be retiring in exactly two months, I worked for Croda Chemicals, an English company, in their paint division in Adelaide.

The Berrylands, Berrylands
My wife and I visited the Berrylands again on 8th June at 10:30 and to our disappointment, it was shut.
Unfortunately our plane was flying out to Australia the next day, so we didn't get a chance to go back and see the new decor. But we had a peak through the window and took a few snaps. It looked OK. Our last visit was in June 2004. Don't know when we'll be back again but at least we had the chance to visit the area where my wife grew up many decades ago when the Berrylands was part of it all even back then and when her dad used to be a regular.
