The George Hotel, Tideswell

Have just visited this lovely pub for the first time since last year. The new owners have done a good job of sorting this once tired and neglected pub out. The atmosphere is great, the bar staff seem very pleasant and the beer we had was very well kept.
The best thing was the food though, we had a fantastic steak which came out on a big slab of volcanic rock. The taste was out of this world, and great to see something a bit different to the normal pub grub. My son had an Aberdeen Angus burger while my daughter had a beautiful homemade stonebaked pizza. We will be coming back here again, hopefully to stay in their new B&B rooms.
