The Alma Arms, Navestock

Went at 8pm on a weekday for a meal, got a drink whilst i browsed menu, went upto order and practically everything on the menu was not available. Had only a choice of pies or lasagne.

That was dissapointing as if they had put a menu notice up saying 80% of their menu was not available i would not have ordered drinks and gone elsewhere as i was starving and wanted all the things not available.

Apparently they had no delivery that day which is fair enough but would be good then to put a notice up as i said so you can make your decision whether to stay before sitting down and ordering drinks and choosing what you want.

The tannoy system was a bit tacky and service at the till wasn't particularly warm but the food was well priced, nice and good portions. I suppose the self service and tannoy keeps the price down so not a complaint just a personal preference.
