The Crooked Billet, Wimbledon Common

Many things should be going for this place BUT... some members of staff appear to think serving the public rather beneath them. Long waits while a conversation with another barman/maid finishes; pretending not to understand the order; mock 'patience' with indecision by a punter; a queue at the bar with three other staff standing idle &c. These little mind-tricks are too blatant to tolerate in a place where the beer is expensive. A pity: treat with caution.
