The Royal Oak, Rusper

Visited the Royal Oak for the first time today and my only regret was that I hadn't done it sooner!
Varied choice of ales and ciders served in an old fashioned ambience deep in the Englich countryside. If it wasn't for the planes leaving nearby Gatwick you could think you'd stepped back in time.
Whilst the food menu is limited, I enjoyed the best bit of roast pork I'd had in ages which was complimented by the well-prepared local vegetables.
All in all, an experience I'm very much looking forward to repeating.

The Will Adams, Gillingham

Have frequented the Will Adams for over 20 years and have never had a bad pint. Pete and Julie take great pride in ensuring their ales are in tip-top condition and Pete's knowledge and love of beer ensures satisfied discerning customers. The pub ambience is further enhanced by friendly regulars of all ages and lifestyles who make newcomers feel welcome.

The Monsal Head Hotel, Monsal Head

First visited The Monsal Head whilst staying just down the road in March 2009. Food was good, beer was excellent but the restaurant a little cold and sparse. Then discovered the Stable Bar - same excellent food and beer but cosy with a real fire. Impressed enough to return with the parents Xmas Day and wasn't disappointed.
