Profile information

I'm a regular pub user and live in the East End of London. I don't drink real ale, but I know a good boozer when I see one.

93 Feet East, Shoreditch

There's not a lot to recommend this place to be honest. The staff are aloof and not at all talented in the art of customer service, the drinks are really expensive, the toilets are absolutely disgusting. Only shoreditch Sh**heads and tourists seem to bother really and that worries me, that overseas visitors might think that this is what the majority of Londoners do of an evening.

The Archers, Whitechapel

This pub is my local.

Being at the top of Brick Lane, this pub gets a real eclectic mix of punters, from fashionistas, tourists, locals, and indie kids. The only real ales on offer are bottled.

I once heard one customer refer to it as "the Primark of pubs" because all draught beers are 2.50 a pint, surely the cheapest in central London! They don't offer food except the usual bar snacks.

There's karaoke on a friday night which is a really good laugh, even the old geezers give it a go, which lends the evening a Chaz and Dave atmosphere.

For those from outside London this pub may feel a bit 'edgy', however I can assure you that the locals are friendly and will make you feel welcome.

NB: The WC's are possibly the worst kept in London

The Lord Morpeth, Bow

A family run pub, with a Bob Hoskins look-a-like doing the Karaoke on a Friday night. If you want to visit a real Eastend boozer, this is it.
