The Bickley, Chislehurst

Good refurb, nice place to stop off for a drink. Only 2 gripes; my simple cocktail took forever to make (but at least I got to sit down and the barman brought it over) and I had the 1/2 lobster and chips for �25 which wasn't worth it (had better for less). They do bar food now at reasonable prices so I will definitely revisit and give that a try. Large garden for the summer.

The Bulls Head, Chislehurst

I still really like this pub, but since the refurbishment the service seems to have gone downhill. It takes a long time to be served even when there are just 2 or 3 people at the bar - this never used to be the case even on a busy Friday night! Last time the guy next to me was ignored by the barmaid for ages, gave up and walked out. A bit of staff training for newcomers should sort it out. Beers are good, nice atmosphere.
