The Coney, West Wickham

this pub is all style and no substance. It looks nice , tho a bit chintzy. The food offering is a joke - basic pizzas are more expensive than Pizza Express !

the steaks are extortionate as well - they start at about �16 - this is a quiet suburb of bromley its not exactly clapham or chelsea !

as the food is its selling point and due to the stupidly high prices, its alas looking like a failure in the making.

the staff look bored as hell and i cant say i blame them as its very quiet. Even the manager - think his name is gavin seems fed up most of the time.

Id give it another 12 months before its up for sale like so many other pubco leases these days.

Have a look at urban spoon or any other food review websites to understand why this is not worth the trip.

Oh yeh , the mussels are from the local supermarket - they had obviuosley run out and noticed the manager rushing as i parked up - they were disgusting & shrivelled as i treid them before - i now know why.

So - if you like your food fresh - dont come here !
