Moors Bar, Crouch End

This placed used to be good with a warm and friendly duo running it but now it seems to have lost its charm. They simply let too many people in and we ended up like sardines ...was a real fight to get to the toilet!!!! They were not too bothered about who they let in either, not that exclusive at all - lots of totally plastered blokes ready to start whenever they were so much as touched on the arm. Shame coz the music was not bad.

Monkey Nuts, Crouch End

I love it here! It is great for mums and babies / kids. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. They could do with turning down the music as the kids make enough noise without having to shout over it but they turned it down when we asked.
The food is tasty and with lots to choose from you are not stuck for options. The lunch meal deal is what i have as its a good cheap option for burger chips/pot skins and drink for 8 quid.
Well worth a visit.......high chairs are clean and in working order too!!

The Hope and Anchor, Hornsey

I agree with those who say this is a good old pub as one should be but please can something be done about the toilets......so horrible, not just the decor but they are not very clean either and that is during the day and early evening. Apart from that it has changed management recently and it seems to be picking up although the old rif raf lot that had been permanently barred for good reason are back in, hopefully not for long.
The garden is not too bad and looks lovely with the new hanging baskets (not sure about the new yellow and red paint out front!). Good beer and a pleasant atmosphere with a lovely bunch of locals.
