The Beacon, Hayes

I lived in mounthurst rd in the 50s & 60s & remember the pub but was to young to use it, as most of the estate was built in the early 50s i do remember playing on the site where the pub was to be built which I think was around 1960, I did use the beacon a few times in the 70s when I was visiting the area & do remember it was an ok basic pub that even then was a bit run down, shame to see thats it's gone.
