The George and Dragon, Wentworth

The food has been good in the past but seems to be going downhill.. last few times it has been disapointing.. i think they have changed chefs.... The staff REALLY need a course in customer service...... i ordered chicken and bacon carbonora and it was very dry with barely any meat at all. As we had paid nearly �10 for this i did not think it was too much to ask for a bit more sauce but the chef said there was none left...i asked for my money back as i said i could not eat it so dry... i was told by a sniggering bar lad that the chef said he was not prepared to give me my money back.. i felt really upset as we had waited nearly an hour for the meal to come and i did not want to order anyting else and have to wait again as everyone else was eating their meal.... all of a sudden a waitess appeared with what all i can desribe as is a jug of warm milk with a few herbs thrown in. My pasta had gone cold and it was overcooked anyway,, i tried but i just could not eat it. I asked to speak to the manager only to be told she was not prepared to speak to me because as far as she wasconcerned the issue had been resolved and she was off to take a shower. She did not even have the decency to come and see me face to face, i did not want to make a scene so we left feeling really usset at how the staff had treatedas after all we have spent over the years, i have never complained before. We have eaten here loads of times before and recommended it to other people.
The week before we took our family in who were over form Australia and spent over �300. Sad thing is because of the service we will never go back and i will never recommend the place to anyone again.
