let them know that this is the centre of a strong community, and that if they succeed, over 100 people who are locals will object (planning permission) to any change of use of a 110 year old place of gathering,socialising,partying and friendship,
this will never be an attractive proposition for a "developer"
"community pubs" (look them up) are our social clubs.
