The New Inn, Cropton

Visited this lovely lookin place whilst staying at the nearby Cabins. Walked in to find the place swarming with kids, and a huge scary bloke monopolising the pool table. I thought we had walked into the pub in 'American Werewolf in London' with everyone turning round to look at us open mouthed as we entered. Everyone who was crowding the bar promptly turned around and dug themselves in by thier elbows. staedfastly refusing to move out of the way so i coud actually get to the bar for a drink. The barmaid did her best to pass our pints over the other punters, but they still they didn't move.
We sat drank our rather average beer whilst getting the evil eye from some creepy old bloke with a big dog. It was all we could do not to actually run back to the car.

That's enough endorsemnt for me, I'll pop in the very next time i'm passing. If you insist on taking your children out in public, there are places for them and these are called McDonalds.

The Grantley Arms, Wonersh

This pub has a great quiz on monday nights. But why does it not start until 9pm? Large selection of food, although menu has not changed in ages. Beers are well kept but a bit pricey for my liking. Staff however are very friendly.
