The White Swan, Richmond

A nicely turned out pub with a decent pint of London Pride (which isn't hard to find in Richmond, admittedly).

Unfortunately, the food leaves a lot to be desired: overpriced and giving high expectations, it turned out to be bland and prepared with little care or attention.

When we complained about the low quality of the food, we were told by a fairly aggressive manager that "we got what we ordered".

On the plus side, our waitress was very friendly and efficient. And we were offered a free drink and desert as a good will gesture.

I'd happily drink there again, but won't be eating any of their uninspired creations!

Owens Bar, Limavady

The best pint in Limavady. And I've had the best pint of Guinness I've EVER had in this bar. On a bad day, it's a good pint...

This is a great wee bar. When I say wee, I mean it! It's an old house converted into a pub, properly, not like some English chain pub that tried to recreate the atmosphere of an Irish bar. Family run, they stick with tradition and friendly service.

The Smithwick's is excellent too, but I rarely have it coz the Guinness is so good.

They don't do food.
