Good local pub with no pretensions. Very efficient bar staff. friendly with a decent pint of Windsor and Eton Knight of the Garter at £3.25

The Y Llong (The Ship), Porthmadog

Very disappointed after reading the comments. Only the dreadful Doom Bar available . I'd advise the revamped Australia and Spooners if you want real ale in Porthmadog.

The Australia, Porthmadog

Good news. the Australia has been taken over by a consortium of local microbrewries -The Bragdy Nant, Conwy, Purple Moose and Great Orme breweries. It now sells a wide range of real ale but no food . The pub has been refurbished and has been very well done. a great 'new' addition to Porthmadog. The clientele seems ok.
