I am married with a total of 6 children - all grown up and several grandchildren. I served in the RAF from 1955 to 1989, then worked with an aircraft maintenance contractor until I retired at Christmas 2002. Now fully retired I am taking things easy and enjoying the good life.

Duke of York, Gate Helmsley
Visited the Duke of York for the first time on Saturday 30 June 2007, accompanied by my wife, daughter and her partner. Despite being quite busy, the staff were cheerful and attentive, without being intrusive and we were made to feel welcome right from the start. The home-made food we ordered was delicious with very generous portions. The raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake and the Baileys cheesecake were particularly delicious - to the point of being sinful. This establishment will definitely be added to our list of favourite dining out locations.
