Restaurant layout very good, with tables not too close together. Starters were mushrooms and goats cheese (good) and chicken liver pate (OK but a little dry). Main courses taken were scallops (excellent), pheasant (excellent), pasta (OK but could have used more sauce as it was a little dry) and fish pie. Wine - NZ pinot noir - was excellent, and good value t �19.50. Will definitely go again. Treacle pudding was outstanding.

The Lord Raglan, Staplehurst
Dinner for 4 on 6FEB08. Great food and good value. Excellent open fire. Good service. I was driving, so couldn't sample the beer, but I was told that the Harvey's was spot on.
Terrific place.
