The Old Bull and Bush, North Hampstead

It so upsets me. Its a beautiful old building - or was. It's also potentially my local - a beautiful stroll through some woods with the dog.

But this place is SO wrong on SO many levels.
- The staff are unbelievably rude and unfriendly... you want to apologise for disturbing them.
- The decor has been butchered - earlier zebra comments are spot on the money
- The beer... and this is the worst bit... consistantly tastes off.

And this is EVERY time I've been. But no more! It sucks.

Spaniards Inn, Hampstead Heath

What a great pub. Yes it can get a bit crazily hectic on a Sunday ... with service sometimes slower as a result... but that's what you get for being one of London's most beautiful and traditional pubs in the middle of a huge park.
Any other time and the location is great, the food (in my experience) very good - it imprived loads since the new management took over - and the beers are second to none; a great selection of ales well looked after.
One of London's best pubs.
