The Abbotswood Inn, Yate

I can understand some of the critisism about the 002 (as it will always be remembered for me) the fact is YES it was and probably still is a S+++thole but i first went there just after it was built i was a kid (baby even) my old man drank there,i started going myself in 1984 and i only have great memories of good nights out, Day Trips down to Weymouth, Torquay or Paignton, it was real Carry On style, that in my opinion (SADLY) doesn't exist anymore because of all the trendy wine bars and political correctness about drinking,who can forget Les and Jenny or even Grumpy Jack, the Dads Army Wannabee!
