The Albany, Thames Ditton

I phoned the Albany on Saturday morning at 10.30 am and booked a table with a riverside view for the same evening for 18.30, the lady I spoke to advised me that the restaurant was very busy and I would have to vacate the table by 20.30, I readily accepted this.
On arriving at the restaurant, with my wife and elderly mother in law, I gave my name to the barman who immediatley told me that the restaurant was fully booked and I couldnt have made a reservation, HE WAS SO RUDE. In the end he vaguely pointed to a number of tables and said we could sit over there, leaving us standing not knowing where to sit. Unfortunately this incident completly spoiled our evening.
