The Crown Hotel, Manningtree

The only good point is the beer garden - which due to being overexploited by the landlady means they cannot cope with food orders when you go there to take advantage of the views. Food is terrible quality and overpriced too. Soft drinks prices are astronomical and the pub is NOT child friendly at all - staff extremely inhospitable to children. Waited an hour for food with no apology to find the quality was awful - panninis arrived with burnt tuna from somebody elses meal stuck to the bread!
You have been warned - families avoid at all cost!
