The White Swan, Richmond

Jonboy49's experience isn't isolated. We were there last night, about 10 of us. Bar staff were lovely but the chap I assume was the landlord got shirty when we wanted to move a chair to allow all of us to sit in the window area. "Are you dining? Well we need those chairs for diners. If you'd phoned in advance to let us know you were coming it would be different" Who the hell phones a pub in advance to advise them that a group of 10 would be coming? It's hardly a crowd!

We supped up and left. Again, another large crowd not exactly chased away but then not made to feel welcome enough to stay. A shame.
