What is the point of this place? Love the principle, but I will not be snarled at by ignorant little chimps. Lose the bad attitude, pull up your trousers and try a bit harder. Didn't have a beer as the barmen were quite frankly tossers.

Ended up at the Bull & Last. Not much better, but at least a hello & a smile.

The Vine, Kentish Town

cmofish. Your right about GK. But via real pubs. Expect rude service, shabby beer, high prices. A pity, could be good, but with it's location it's between too many great places.

It would have to be fantastic to compete. I will check it out & happily eat my words if I'm wrong. But my few experiences at the Oxford don't fill me with good expectations.

You're right. A 14 yo kid shouldn't have been in a pub. Licencing laws now allow plenty of this & "family" pubs are the norm.

I frequently have taken him to pubs where we have eaten & I have drunk well ("in moderation").

So I find myself in a part of London, frequented by tourists, & wanting a pee & a cold beer.

Brings me dack to my first point. The pub is terrible. It is for tourists, but the beer & service is shite. Cash is King. Not a pl;ace I want my cash to be.
