NIce pub- in November on a cold day there was a log fire at lunchtime- cosy! Very friendly. Beer OK. Bar snack fine esp. chips. Musroom omlette was rubbery and mushrooms not freshly cooked so take care selecting meals. Worth another try.

Reliable beer (yes, guest beers are IMHO always good). Busy, friendly too. Our preferred local

Visited for Christmas lunch with a party of >30. Exceptionally efficient and friendly service. Good beer too.
