Ye Olde Nags Head, Castleton

Booked a table for 8 for a 50th Birthday party last Saturday. After being sat at the table for 15 minutes the Manageress gave us a cock and bull story about the gas going off in the kitchen and they were unable to serve us. We know this was not true because other diners were getting fed. So we hot footed it over to the Bulls Head were we got good service and good food at a reasonable price. The Nags Head is a joke and will be closed within 12 months mark my word.

Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese Inn, Castleton

Visited the pub on a busy Saturday night to sample the real ales. Asked the landlord to let me sample one of the real ales but he point blank refused. After a short discussion I came to the opinion that he didnt give a dam about customers or customer service. I have never met a more obnoxious landlord and believe me I have met a few. When I pointed out we might want ot book a table for 8 for the following night if he was a little mote accommodating he said ' I'm not bothered were full anyway. Pefect I thought and took my trade and wallet elsewhere. Wouldnt touch the place with a barge pole.
