The New Inn, Waterley Bottom

Fantastic pub, Fantastic location, great range of beers and ciders, the food is homemade, locally sourced and tasty. The landlord is a nice guy, who want to run his pub his way, in this over customer service orientated world that may not go down well with everyone. At the end of the day the food is good and the beers well kept, if the landlord is a bit of character, well thats what makes a proper country pub different to your Pub Co Pub.

The Fleece Inn, Hillesley

The Fleece has now been sympathetically refurbished and modernised ( March 2008). It offers a good range of beers and although tied to S & N offers good independent beers including Butcombe.A real cider would really complete the offering, but they do have a good selection of keg ciders including inchs,scrumpy jack and strongbow. The food offered is a good selection of simple pub food, prepared fresh and cooked well. A nice selection of wines compliments well the food offering. The pub is a real credit to Andy and his family team and deserves to be well supported and flourish.
