Ye Grapes, Mayfair

Nice little place with great atmosphere in the summer when everybody is spilling out all over the streets of shepherd market. Can be entertaining to watch all the businessmen who think that no-one knows they're with hookers - definitely some fun people watching to be had!

The Glasshouse Stores, Piccadilly Circus

Such an amazing find - unbelievably cheap, decent quality beer and really friendly atmosphere despite being right in the centre of soho. Would really recommend!

The Clifton Hotel, St John's Wood

Yes the food sometimes takes a while, the art on the walls is surreal and the barstaff can be monumentally odd at times, but there are not a lot of places in st john's wood where you can sit outside for an entire day if you choose (and have done, several times) and just while away an afternoon with fabulous foccacia and jugs of pimms. There are a handful of hooray henrys annoyingly changing the character of this place, but in essence it doesn't try to be anything but a nice place to hang out and watch the world go by.
