Very friendly staff, very reasonably priced. Not the best for ales, but great lager selection and pricing. Nice outdoor space out the back.

The Railway Hotel, West Horndon

Since the other reviews on here 3 years ago, this pub is under new management, and they've renovated the floors and the toilets.

It's a touch expensive for drinks, but it's got loads of outdoor space and the food is excellent home-made stuff for reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Would be nice to have a greater selection on draught, but a very enjoyable local.
