The Pilot, Aldersley

This place used to be pretty poor. A bog standard pub. Over the last few years, new management and a bit of investment has turned it all round. Quality pub, nice decor and atmosphere and a great menu for the whole family. A true delight and it's on my doorstep.

Pennyblacks, Birmingham

A nice pub, but the choice of Real Ale is minimal and the beers they do have in costs a fortune. At about 4.80 a pint this is criminal. The staff are clueless and seem bored and put out if they have to serve a customer. The food is ridiculously priced as well, about £13.00 for a burger and fries, er, no thanks.
But as I said, it IS a nice pub, but it's a shame they charge so much for a pint.

The Shakespeare Inn, Birmingham

A horrid little hole of a pub. The people who generally frequent this place look right shifty. Not my type of pub. It's handy if you have to catch a train right after a pint, but then again you could go to the Chameleon round the corner which is an altogether more pleasant experience.
