Sir Henry Tate, Chorley

Visited the pub today the 5th April 2013 as we normally do when in Chorley hoping that the food,service and cleanliness had improved as it has steadily gone down over the weeks. Appear to be only concerned with the men who want drinks. I was with my grandson of 21, we ordered Chilli and Rice with a drink. This was at 2.00pm. All the tables on the level up from the bar were filthy and some full of dirty pots. We placed our order at 2.00pm. At 2.45 a young woman came and said "Hi guys sorry for the wait 3/4 hr" and plonked the food on the table. It was awful, the rice was cold the Chilli too and seemed to be stuck to the plate it tasted funny. Neither of us could eat it. Tried to catch the waitress walking past to no avail. Eventually we got up and went to the bar.We spoke to a young woman behind pulling pints and told her the meal was not fit to eat. We got the reply " what do you want me to do" and carried on pulling the pint. We asked to see someone in authority but got ignored. I do hope someone from Weatherspoons takes notice of what the public think . This pub used to be very good but now I dont think I will go in again. The customer service is lacking, cleanliness and food standards terrible.
