further to my rather negative review last yr i went back a couple of months ago and am happy to report that we enjoyed one of the best lunches ever. �13 for a roast but it was a v tasty, v fresh full plate - no complaints. i didn't fancy the look of the chips (the kind that look like potato peelings) but other than that everyone was happy with their orders, the puddings were knock out also. welcome back, D&P!

ive given it a 3 because the young waitress was nice but if we're judging on food then a 1 or 2. im a local and the mill tavern in haslemere (best place for sunday roasts) was closed for a function so we thought we'd revisit this once excellent pub. our roasts were �12 each, the vegetables were curled, the meat tasteless. you get big portions, but how many nuked, soggy roast potatoes can you eat? my hospitality exec brother didnt like seeing the chefs wearing dirty clothes, either. you'd be better off buying a ready made meal and microwaving it at home. but do go here for a drink to enjoy this pretty part of the world.
