The George, Hayes

I'm so surprised at the negative comments regarding this pub and especially the comments regarding the landlady.
I came on to write a review expressing the warm and friendly atmosphere and good food I've found here.
Now I'm by no means a regular but have visited the pub with friends who live close by on quite a few occasions and always found the landlady to be extremely polite and helpful and I would suggest that if she runs a tight ship with regards to the clientele, it is working, because it's a nice, relaxed and enjoyable environment to be in without the type of people to describe someone doing there job as "putrid" etc etc.
If she is keeping this type of nasty character away then the pub will all the better for it!
Nobody gets barred for "coughing" or "trying to be funny", remember there is no smoke without fire!!
If you calculate the amount of people who walk through those doors against the four people who complain spanning 2 and a half years you get an awful lot of happy customers - please don't let this put you off, It's a fantastic and fun place to socialise.
