The Swan Inn, Stone

This has to be on eof the best pubs in the Midlands. A great local with loyal & friendly regulars but a constantly changing clintelle depending as to what time you go in. Always a great selection of mostly local ales as well as lagers and ciders, the selection of wine is both good quality and good value. Joules Priory is always available, a quite exceptional ale. This this is pub for drinking not eating, talking and socialising. Friday nights "win a pint" quiz is a riot - nobody can ever know the answer of the crazy local history questions but between the 6.00pm and 7.00pm the pub is packed.
The back yard used in the summer has an eclectic scatteting of furniture and sheltered by a sprawling grapevine, it is here where the annual beer festival takes place - the highlight of the Swans calendar, just great!
The Swan is unique - it looks nothing from the outside but has an atmosphere that exeplifies what a good ppub used to hold as its prime value - great beer and great customers
