Ship Inn, Tynygongl, Pentraeth

Really liked the place and especially liked the fact that the area where kids could eat is as nice as the rest of the pub. Cask Tetleys and Adnams and a local ale available and seemed well kept. The food was good but consider a bill of �65 for two adults and one kids fish and chips, a couple of pints and a glass of wine? Its no different to the rest of Anglesey and I would go again, but the prices are barmy.

The White Eagle Pub, Anglesea

Nice pub, good food and ale and caters for kids without turning it into a creche. Why is Anglesey so bloody expensive though?

Travellers Rest, Penrith

Deeply disappointing pub which should and could be so good if the owners weren't shamelessly profiteering. A tenner for homemade chilli, chips and rice. When it came without rice, a crap excuse about it being rice or chips. As for homemade; whose home? H.J Heinz'. Relying on passing trade and taking the mick. Symptomatic of so many pubs in the popular areas of the lakes these days and a crying shame.
