The Bridge Inn, Calver

We decided to visit the Bridge Inn on a Sunday at lunchtime, as we know it is now under new management. We also know, from personal experience, that the new owner is very good at delivering an excellent level of customer service. Our first impression was that it was a very cosy, traditional country pub. We were warmly welcomed by the pub’s lovely staff.

Just a few minutes after we arrived, an attentive member of staff asked us if we were ready to order. We ordered the Roast Beef with vegetables, which was served within 5-10 minutes from ordering. The food was delicious: the roast beef serving was quite generous and very good, the carrots and cauliflowers were cooked to perfection, and we also enjoyed the roasted potatoes and parsnip.

All in all, it was a delightful experience and we would definitely visit the Bridge Inn again.
