over priced drink and very snotty staff!!! this place used to be the best pub in that area but not anymore doubt i will ever go back

The Kings Arms, Epsom

first time back to this pub since it is under new management in september and what a difference!!! first up though i have to say that i loved the decor before and thankfully they havent changed it yet but from what the staff told me it is going to be rennovated in january/ february time so fingers crossed they dont do to much to it. last time here was august i think and the service and food was terrible. all meals that were ordered took ages to come out and when they did arrived the quality was very poor. the waitress looked like she had just woke up and couldnt be bothered to even greet us with a smile!
so...... having heard from our friends me and the missus decided to give this place another shot, and we are so happy we did. we were greeted by smiles and a warm friendly atmoshpere. The new menu was really good and looked like all the ingredients were not bought in!! our waiter was very helpfull and very intentive. the food was gorgeous and reasonably priced. the drinks were good value and around the normal price of the area, i think the spirits were cheaper but i was driving so didnt risk it! after our meal we decided to have one for the road and headed down to the bar area and sat next to a fire which was really cosy and the atmosphere in the pub was excellent. we enjoyed it so much that we ended up buying tickets to the new years party. so we will let you know how it goes after that!!
