RogerSusie - don't know anything about the people you mention but the pub is definitely still there! Not sure why it's not on Google Earth. I'm relatively new to the place but regulars tell me the current landlady and landlord (who are lovely) have restored it to its former glory!

Not a bad pub but the new landlord (not sure how new he is) is a massive misery-guts. Rest of the staff are very friendly though.
