Get down there whilst its still on. Their beer puts other pub's offerings completely in the shade, specifically the Black Ship in the Cross Keys is truly vile.

I was served a very poor pint of Cains Dark Mild here this week. I took it back to the Bar person who grudgingly exchanged it for a pint of 2008; they didn't pour it properly and told a colleague to 'top it up' after I waited for the drink to settle. OK, so the bar person was tired my point it however that the "Tiled Room" was full of international guests and I thought what a thoroughly poor customer/visitor experience for any of our guests to have experienced in the hands of Charmless Barperson of the Year. Put it this way: Charmless Barperson would be their written warning if they worked for me. Finally, the men's restroom still ranks as one of the most disgusting this side of Hades, it is still truly vile.

Re The Scallies: I was once offered a box of maltesers, the said Scally wanted more than the shop he presumably borrowed them from would normally sell them for. Class!

On a more amusing note I overheard a barperson/maid ask her colleague what time it was. He replied and she then retorted "Good, 'cos that means in half an hour I'm going to chin you" Oh the wit! ;)
