The Rising Sun, Upper Beeding

Really good welcome from the staff and new landlady. Arrived late as they were closing after lunch but they still made my wife & I a cup of coffee (with a very nice choc chip biscuit). The place has obviously had a recent revamp as the tenancy changed hands in summer 2010 - new decor, new attitude, new menu. The landlady was a local customer who saw the opportunity to do a better job - and she has. Very impressed - have only given 8/10 because we didn't eat and try the beer there, but will update when I go back. I suspect the score will only go up. And the post about them serving supermarket fare is so wrong - they strive to use locally sourced ingredients.
