The Stag on the River, Eashing

Four of us went there a couple of weeks ago and had a superb meal. The beer was very good too, the best they had was Spitfire, not normally one of my favourites but on that particular day at least, it was perfect and most enjoyable I had in few months.
We also met the landlord who was welcomming, friendly and had good senses of humour. Wish we lived closer so we could use the pub more often.
I was surprised at the low rating the pub was given for food because that was not our experience at all.
