The Ship Inn, Haskayne

As a regular walker in a group we visited The Ship last summer and after sampling the beer and viewing the menu decided to literally make a meal of it on our next visit. Having visited yesterday I cannot tell you how disappointed we were. The prices were too much for a lunchtime and for the food we recieved. Mediocre pie, frozen chips (new potatoes were not available) and cold peas. A check back was not made which is just as well. It is still a friendly pub with well kept ale but it will be a long time before I risk the food again.
